An Independent SEN School in Barking and Dagenham are looking for a SEN Teacher to make a direct impact on the quality of provisions within a unit focused on supporting SEMH and ASD pupils.

This therapeutic environment are committed to the well-being of both their pupils and staff. They are looking for an SEN Teacher to mirror and embody the school’s values in their creative approach to best facilitation of pupil development.

Job Description - SEN Teacher

  • Experienced teachers within a SEMH and Challenging Behaviour setting
  • Emphasis on staff well-being: Early finishes on Fridays, Therapy sessions, etc.
  • Immediate start
  • Long term with the view to a permanent contract
  • Paid to scale

Person Specification - SEN Teacher

  • Must hold UK QTS and have thorough experience developing ASD, SEMH and pupils who exhibit challenging behaviour
  • Confident with Behaviour outburst and ability to calmly intervene with words and understanding.
  • Committed to sharing best practice and aware of the wider needs of the community
  • Ability to manage team of TA’s
