Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Transport Training Coordinator. To provide high quality training and support in the use of all aspects of transport related equipment and duties and assess competencies to ensure that council vehicles and equipment are operated safely, efficiently and within manufacturers guidelines.

The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all required legislation, policies and procedures and industry best practice. They will maintain and monitor both electronic and manual training records to ensure all essential / refresher training is identified, notified and arranged in a timely fashion.

  • Carry out on-line Driving Licence checks prior to driving assessments.
  • Assess drivers using computer based driver risk assessment system, theory assessments and on-road practical assessments of driving ability.
  • Compile accurate reports of driver assessment to assist managers to make judgements on what remedial action to take as necessary/applicable.
  • Receive and deliver vehicle familiarisation training.
  • Source, arrange and deliver appropriate vehicular training for staff across the Authority
  • Assist with, develop and monitor training performance measures and ensure that performance reports are developed and produced to meet Business and customer needs.
