Job Description:

IT Service Desk Manager needed for this large market leading real estate business. They are looking for an IT Service Desk Manager who will be responsible for leading, developing and growing a busy Service Desk in a predominantly Microsoft environment.

The IT Service Desk Manager will be responsible for leading and developing Service Desk Analysts, dealing with 1st & 2nd Line IT issues whilst delivering world class customer service and performance against demanding SLA’s

The right person will have a proven track record leading an IT Service Desk team in an enterprise environment. A demonstrable track record of line management and both influencing and developing a team are required as is experience dealing with stakeholders at all levels.

Technically the right IT Service Desk Manager will have a good mix of:

  • ITIL Certification or experience of working with the methodology
  • Microsoft certification e.g. MCSE/MCSA (or relevant experience)
  • A good working knowledge of information security risk mitigation
  • Experience of supporting products and applications available in Microsoft 365
  • Strong knowledge of a wide range of IT infrastructure and desktop technologies
  • Server virtualisation experience (VMware/Hyper-V)
  • A good working knowledge of networking fundamentals (DHCP/DNS/IP Subnetting/VLANS)
  • Experience in DevOps – use of the tools available in Azure to facilitate automation of tasks and auditing (AzureAD, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, EventGrid, etc)
