Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – West Yorkshire

I am recruiting exclusively for a key client based central to West Yorkshire. They are looking for Maintenance Engineer mechanically biased, to assist with general maintenance work, covering shifts across rotational shifts and fixed nights

For this position, you will require to conduct the following duties:

v  Reactive and planned maintenance, mainly on mechanical aspects, but some basic fault-find and replacement of electrical parts as well

v  Fixing food production machinery (gears/motors/conveyors/feeders/weighers etc)

v  Working safely and make recommendations for improvements

The successful person will need to have the following attributes:

v  Good experience with LEAN and Continuous Improvement principles

v  Health and Safety & food hygiene awareness

v  Able to work autonomously, with a ‘right first time’ mentality

v  Experience within food/FMCG production environments

v  Strong communication and interpersonal skills working alongside production staff and shift supervisors

v  Engineering qualified ideally to HNC - Mechanical bias, but ability to do basic electrical fault finding as well
