Secondary Schools in Blackpool are changing the way that teacher absence is covered. 'CoverSupervisors’ are now regularly being used by secondary schools to cover teacher absences for day to day and short term cover. The role is a responsible one which involves taking sole charge of lessons and delivering pre-prepared work to students. Your role will be to ensure class work is completed and the student’s behaviour is managed in accordance to the schools policy.
Vida Education are looking for Cover Supervisors to join their busy team to work across Blackpool Schools and surrounding areas.
Vida Education offer a bespoke Training course and will be provided free of charge to make you 'schoolready' so you can start working within secondary schools as a Cover Supervisor. This is ideal for anyone with no prior experience or even if you have previous experience but require a refresher or looking to enhance your existing skills.
In addition to the training course you will also be given the opportunity to spend a day in one of our partner schools to observe classes by shadowing teachers
At Vida Education we want to make sure all people entering Blackpool schools and working as Cover Supervisors are well prepared and confident when going into schools.
Whether you’re new to the role or have been working in a different role within the education sector this training provides a strong basis to start you career as a Cover Supervisor.

Our Cover Supervisor Training is recognised by many schools and other education establishments as being high quality and fully preparing learners for their role as a Cover Supervisor.
To undertake this course you must have a good standard of literacy, numeracy, communication skills and be able to take part in whole class activities. You will also need to have access to a computer, the internet and have competent ICT skills to complete the additional eLearning courses.
