Job Title –Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location – West Yorkshire (commutable from; Bradford, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Halifax, Leeds, York)
Salary - £41k (plenty of overtime and holidays)
Shift – 12 hours days and nights

Our client is one the World’s largest branded supplier within the FMCG industry and is looking for an Electrical maintenance engineer, with their turnover sitting at over €700 million globally and a UK turnover of around £60 million. They excel at providing fully automated sortation for retail industries. Employing 210 staff across a number of UK sites which has gone from 2 sites to 10 sites in about 10 years, the business continues to expand thanks to a buoyant market, as well as having the state of the art advance machinery, their newest production lone is only 5 years old

The Role of an Electrical Maintenance Engineer
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for both Planned Preventative Maintenance Tasks and reacting to Breakdowns as they arise. With product volumes in the hundreds of thousands, speed is king and the Maintenance Engineer must react quickly to ensure the lines are up and running as soon as humanly possible.
Electrically the Maintenance Engineer will be fault finding with a multi-meter through to component level, then replacing any faulty component. The site houses several miles of conveyor systems, thus a lot of the breakdowns will be mechanical in nature. This, coupled with the volume of product being moved per day, means that mechanical and electrical components are changed liked for like from stores.
The Candidate
To be successful in your application as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer you must have the following skills or attributes:
- Must have a recognised Electrical Qualification.
- Must have previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer.
- Post apprentice and work experience in FMCG for 5 years and more
