Software Engineer – Polyglot, Go, Micro services, APIs, Serverless, SQL/NoSQL

This is a permanent position for a mid level Engineer, paying up to £60k and will be remote too (with the ability to easily commute into the London based office on an ad hoc basis).

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding team working on a core Product that focuses on Fraud Prevention.  As a team, there is the autonomy to use the best technology for the task in hand, which is why the business actively hire those with  polyglot mindset and commercial experience in mor than one coding language.

You will need experience creating applications within a micro services architecture, built into APIs and been exposed to a Serverless environment (AWS Lambda) but in terms of technology, strong backend Engineering skills and ideally a little Front End would be perfect.

A lot of the current services are being built in Go, with React on the front end, so although experience in Go isn’t required – an interest and willingness to work with it is!

In terms of current environment, you will be working with Go, React, Typescript, GraphQL, AWS Lambda, Redshirt, DynamoDB and AWS Fargate but as mentioned, the key requirements are more in terms of Engineering best practice, rather than specific language experience. Knowledge and experience of Serverless cloud architecture, API design, NoSQL Databases, message queues and continuous delivery are more interesting!
