The key purpose of this role is to carry out investigation and analysis of wastewater asset and service risk data to highlight areas of concern. This will require you to provide and maintain reporting and communication to the Area Risk, Planning and Performance Teams, so that remedial efforts can be directed to where they will produce the greatest value.

The candidate will be responsible for undertaking consistent risk identification, analysis, validation and reporting processes in line with asset management, risk and resilience frameworks. This will allow the client to understand areas of exposure and enable mitigation to be put in place.

Accountabilities will include:

• Identifying emerging risks and supporting the interpretation of results linked to performance commitments and customer promises.
• Identifying and reporting risks to inform escalation and prioritisation.
• Supporting production of need statements suitable for the investment planning process
• Using required information and datasets to undertake risk and resilience assessments
• Present a one view of risk to the Wastewater Directorate
  

Responsibilities will include:

• Driving excellence in Health and Safety ensuring H&S management is a priority.
• Being responsible for the production and integration of material for reports and business updates on risk and resilience and risk levels. This includes required regulatory reporting (DWMP, HAZREV etc.)
• Being responsible for the identification of current and future performance and compliance risks through a systematic Hazard review process which includes onsite reviews.
  
  

The successful candidate will have a degree in Science, Risk, Asset Management, Engineering or a numerate subject or you will have similar demonstrated professional experience. You will have proven Analysis experience and an understanding of water and/or wastewater processes (networks and treatment works).
