EAM Application Specialist required - 6 month contract (likely to be extended) based in Worthing

This positions is working for a leading utilities organisation which is currently going through an exciting IT transformation which will strategically change the way it delivers IT support and services to its business and end users. To help support this strategic initiative, a new IT Application services unit is being introduced, which will become the delivery unit for end users requiring IT support and services along with support delivering strategic and tactical projects.

This position is part of Application services team helping deliver the departments overall objectives in the short and long term. The role will be expected to liaise with the Service delivery and project delivery counterparts, to ensure that the applications are supported & projects are delivered to the highest standards.

Scope of role

Primary scope of the role would be :-

* Extract, analyse, cleanse and integrate data from physical asset applications (Maximo)

* Develop data structure and work order structure

* Implement and maintain all assets, inspections, and preventative maintenance program

* Assist in QA, testing and documentation of new EAM releases and new auxiliary products with EAM

* Design and create management and operational reports with current Business Intelligence and Report writing applications

* Support the business with knowledge transfer, testing, documentation and service acceptance.

* Facilitate productive relationships with and between key stakeholders, during the Planning management and implementation of business change, as applicable.

* Ensure that project and business application support documentation is maintained.


Knowledge/experience:

* Functional experience of asset management systems

* Experience in delivering support services within a corporate environment

* Experience in managing a multitude of complex systems, both COTS and bespoke.

* Previous experience with an EAM system, such as Ellipse or MAXIMO or similar

* Awareness of GIS systems (Separate GIS Application Specialist roles)

* Foundation in IT Service Management (ITIL v3) is desirable Capability:

* Experienced Assets specialist

* Experience in issue analysis and recommend solutions for Asset related technical changes

* Experience in impact analysis of support pack and upgrades for Asset management

* Act as point of contact for Asset related technical issues to project and support teams

* In-depth knowledge of Asset process with a proven track record of supporting, implementing and improving applications

This role is to start asap and will pay up to £626 per day (Ltd/Umbrella)
