KM are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a private Training Provider who is looking to appoint a qualifid Tutor to be responsible for the training, assessment and support of a caseload of learners undertaking Apprenticeships in Rail Engineering - Level 3.

*We are able to consider qualified Tutor / or Assessors who hold competency within the rail sector but have not yet had the oppportunity to deliver training within this specific vocation*

Duties:

• Train, assess and support learners in a group setting through full Apprenticeships in Rail Engineering (Level 3).
• Following completion of the level 3 vocational qualification, the Tutor will support the learner to complete a 10 day course including; personal track safety, health and safety, fire, manual handling and first aid, track inductions etc, and will also have a drug and alcohol test.
• Conduct regular reviews with learners to track progress and ensure timely completions.
• Organise and maintain learners’ documentation.
• Develop and implement schemes of work, lesson plans, course material, ILP's and reviews.
• Support, advise and motivate learners, through to end point assessment.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.

Essential Criteria:

• Hold own Level 3 or above in Rail / Engineering
• Recognised Teaching qualification (PTLLS/AET) and/or Assessor award (D31/32, A1, CAVA or TAQA). 
• Occupational competency of working within the Rail sector.
• Must possess a sound knowledge of health and safety, PTS (personal track safety) and track inductions.
• Experience of delivering training in both a 1:1 and group setting.
• Full, clean, UK driving licence and use of a vehicle.
• Must be flexible with travel and overnight stays where required.
