Our client based in Luxembourg is requiring a Lead Systems Administrator with proven experience integrating and managing Windows workstations operating systems. Also the suitable candidate must hold a Master's degree and have a minimum of a B2 level in both English and French languages (Spoken and Written).

Job profile description -

The Lead System Administrator Engineer provides strategic guidance on the design and evolution and leads their practical implementation.

They must bring specialised expertise based on outstanding experience in designing and validating solutions for Windows workstations operating systems integration.

They must ensure that the solutions are fit for purpose across all relevant dimensions: functional scope, user experience, integration in the digital workplace, security (including Data Protection matters), reliability and availability, resilience to change.

They will assist with change management activities at the infrastructure end, and with user awareness and adoption initiatives and at the user end. The Lead System Administrator Engineer shall provide the services in a way which is congruent with an international and multi-cultural environment, requiring a strong team spirit and service- and results-oriented attitude and a proactive approach

Tasks

The Lead System Administrator Engineer is expected to provide services with a high degree of autonomy in defining and prioritising her/his tasks and other Windows operating system integration activities. Specific tasks that s/he will be entrusted with will typically include any or all the following.

• coordinate support and project teams
• manage and follow up of Service Owners and user requests
• manage complex incidents
• maintain knowledge databases and documentation
• to design, development and implement specific Windows Reference Configurations (including in hybrid cloud context)
• management of IS Services related with Windows Reference Configuration (i.e. development, validation, automation and deployment, etc)

Profile requirements

• IT related degree to a master level or 5 years of higher education. Alternatively, for each missing year of education, the participant should demonstrate 2 years of relevant experience.
• Language knowledge (spoken and written) corresponding to at least Level B2 or higher of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) in both English and French.
• At least 10 years of experience in integrating and managing Windows workstations operating systems.
• At least one Windows Operating Systems training (Administration or configuration).
• Strong experience in drafting documents in English.
• Knowledge and expertise required in these specifications and proposed in the participant's replies to the technical questionnaire. The contracting authority reserves the right to check through means of a live interview whether the proposed consultant matches the knowledge and expertise required in these specifications and proposed in the replies to the technical questionnaire.

Place of delivery

The main place of delivery of the Services will be the clients premises in Luxembourg, with occasional meetings, presentations or workshops held in Brussels.

Contract length is 2+ years. Freelance contract rates available in the region of €55-65 per hour, based on a 8 hour working day, depending on experience.
