Recruitment Consultant - 360

Expired

Job Description:

Another box that you have successfully sealed and put into the dispatch pile...

That's 1,474 for the day, you've targeted yourself for 2,000 today, another 3 hours left, you'll have this in the bag! You live for these targets, you live for hitting them, the pressure of not making the 2,000 will eat you up inside. It reminds you of the time you were a successful Recruitment Consultant, you know in a time before the dreaded C word destroyed the world as we know it.

The warehouse thing has kept you going though, rather than sitting in the house binging on NetFlix (other streaming services are available) you've been keeping yourself busy and trying to earn a bit of cash at the same time.

God you miss wearing smart clothes, dusting off that lovely navy blue suit or that dress and top combo you think makes you look boss, you know the one you save for client meetings. Recruitment jobs are few and far between though, even the big boys are letting people go, rather than bringing them on...arguably your old agency was a decent size. You wouldn't go for a massive agency anyway, if you could do it all again, you know the smaller agencies suit you better, being able to speak to the Directors everyday, controlling your desk, not being restricted to that debate of

"Don't call that client because they only like dealing with me"

Working at a smaller firm, maybe a specialist will give you that ownership that you're craving, to really show what you're about and what can be done when the reins have been taken off. You know that if you were able to go after your market unrestricted, you could be a force to be reckoned with.

Maybe working for Michael Sharma Group is the answer to all your problems. Not only do you get to work for a small agency where you will be sitting next to the Directors, you'll be rewarded handsomely too, with a market leading commission structure of 35% over your threshold.

What's the criteria though? What do they want from candidates?

In a nutshell, sales people. Not "Recruitment Experts" or "Talent Ninja's" or whatever else the new age terms for recruitment is. We're after someone who is unashamedly a sales person, we want you to be able to have the confidence to pick up the phone and call clients and candidates. A talent pool consists of ex-recruiters, a salesman who has come from car sales, furniture sales and has knocked doors to someone with no sales experience whatsoever but showed all the behaviours to be able to do the job and so far is proving us right.

What's the package?

  • Salary will be around £17k
  • Commission is 35% above threshold (typical threshold at £17k is £3k per month)
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Working Monday to Friday (9-5, 30 min lunch)
  • Pool table that you are actually able to use. Currently one of the Consultants is losing a first to 20 with one of the Directors...There's a forfeit at the end too
  • Ongoing training and support, both classroom based as well as on the job coaching
