The Opportunity:

This place won’t be like any place you have worked at before. As your role as an electrically biased maintenance engineer you will be responsible for all electrical fault finding/Installations. Main machinery you will be working on are conveyors, incinerators, boilers, turbines, pumps and much more.

 

Shift pattern as follows: week 1 Monday – Sunday ON, week 2 Monday – Tuesday OFF, Wed-Fri ON, Saturday & Sunday OFF then repeat. Works out as 40 hours a week average with half an hour paid lunch break. Must be able to work one in two weekends. Working hours are always 08:00am – 16:00pm.

What we need from you:

 

  • At least 3 year’s experience working as an electrically biased maintenance engineer is essential  
  • Electrically qualified to level 3 ideally – either C&G/BTEC/NVQ. Apprenticeship served and or 18th ed advantageous but not essential
  • Ideally worked in a heavy environment before – i.e. recycling, foundry, steel etc and don’t mind getting your hands dirty
  • Experience with PLC fault finding advantageous, able to read drawings, replace contactors, sensors, drives, experience with installation work
