Position Description:

• Utilize AutoCAD for power transmission and distribution projects
• Projects will include overhead transmission and both overhead and underground distribution lines
• Be able to plan, organize, schedule, and monitor own work activities
• Prepare Plan-Profile sheets for projects
• Ensure drafts confirm to client standards
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• Continuous improvement of job-related, technical and professional knowledge, skills and performance
• Maintain accurate records and files
• Support of the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally
• Skilled drafters will also assist with high voltage substation and switchyard projects

Position Requirements:

• 3+ years of related power transmission and distribution design
• Associate's or equivalent certification in engineering or engineering technology preferred but not required
• Proficient with AutoCAD
• Able to work both as part of a team and solo
• Prior experience on substation projects is a plus
• Strong written and oral communication skills
