You will be involved in areas such as Data Warehousing/Extract Transform Load processing, visual analytics, predictive analytics and machine learning. Additionally you will be pivotal in supporting a portfolio of analytics projects across many functions of DE&S, identifying relevant technology and developing strategies for implementation.

Some of the key activities as a Data Scientist you will be involved with include:

Working with complex data sets and leading the development of advanced BI capability, through creating and deploying self-service reports and dashboards

Debugging, monitoring, and troubleshooting BI solutions

Lead the development and implementation of complex data models

Design and perform appropriate testing to meet technical and customer requirements

Maintain knowledge of the systems and data architectures, creating new Data Models and improving existing structures

Augment user training as appropriate

To be found successful you must demonstrate the following essential criteria:

Experience of one or more of the following programme languages - Python and/or SQL you will hold a degree, or equivalent accreditation, within a STEM field subject: Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, or similar

You will demonstrate experience of data collection to meet customer needs, data analysis and effective dissemination

Data analytics - such as statistical model selection, supervised/un-supervised/deep machine learning, network analysis, and natural language

Data management/curation - such as the manipulation and analysis of complex, high volume and high dimensionality data, data modelling
