Calling all maintenance engineers!! ATA are helping a national manufacturing group in their search for an electrically biased maintenance engineer to join their team in Nottingham.

The company, who turn over near £400million per annum are a specialist within the production of buildings materials and have an impressive 18 manufacturing sites across England. Having been there since the 50s, this is one of the groups most established sites and is a very important cog in the company wheel, producing over 80 million units per annum.  Due to the boom within the construction industry, my client is going from strength to strength and have seen their turnover increase 100 million within 3 years.

They don’t foresee this slowing down anytime soon and have huge growth plans. This includes opening three brand new supersites over the next 10 years which will cement their foothold in the market.  

About the role

As a maintenance engineer, you will have responsibility of all daily maintenance activities, which will include planned preventive maintenance, reactive breakdowns, remedial repair and project work.  You will be responsible for maintaining PLC driven automated plant machinery within an industrial environment, including; 3 phase equipment (415v), hydraulic systems, various types of conveying, robotics, extruders plus more.   

You will have the responsibility of keeping breakdown time to a minimum, improving machine efficiency and working in conjunction with the groups LEAN and continuous improvement plans.

Further responsibilities include;

  • Compliance and health and safety.
  • Critical stock control.
  • CI projects

About you

As a maintenance engineer you should have the following:

  • Excellent electrical knowledge, ideally from working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Fantastic fault-finding ability, ability to use various tools and understand electrical drawings.
  • Recognised electrical qualification (Apprentice trained, Level 3).
  • Experience with continuous improvement projects.
  • A methodical mindset, with the ability to problem solve and adapt with short notice.
  • The ability to work within a proactive nature.
