The role of the Production Supervisor will be as follows:

• Reporting to the Production Manager the Production Supervisor will be responsible for the day to day production activities and resource planning
• Ensure the production team achieve KPI’s related to Health & Safety, OTIF, utilisation of hours, output, audit and productivity
• Lead and manage all daily and weekly production meetings, Toolbox Talks and Gemba walks
• To manage the day to day running of production to meet internal and external customer demand
• Ensure customer requirements are fully understood and communicated in an effective manner
• Responsible for the training, development and leadership of the production team (15 staff – Mechanical & Electrical)
• 1-2-1’s, appraisals, performance management and recruitment of new staff
• Ensuring the team meet quality standards and to lead/manage any improvement initiatives such as continuous improvement and lean
• Manage and or report any issues related to quality or product testing
• Optimise the output of all production activities
• To build and nurture the team – provide effective leadership to the team

The ideal Production Supervisor will have a combination of the following:

• Experienced Production Supervisor or related role
• Engineering qualification, Apprentice, HNC/HND or Degree – mechanical, electrical or manufacturing
• A proven track record in leading and developing production teams
• Experienced in working in an assembly manufacturing environment
• Lean or continuous improvement experience will be highly desirable
• Based in Wigan or commutable to
