Job Description:
SEND TA
A special needs school in Sunderland is looking for a teaching assistant / TA who is experienced in working with challenging behaviour. The role requires someone who has worked with secondary aged students and able to manage challenging behaviour and situations.
The post will commence immediately and continue through to the new year. It is a full time position and the there is potential to become a permanent member of staff.
The school is extremely supportive and offers training for supply staff.
To be part of this team you will ideally need to have:
- A minimum of 6 months experience in a special needs school
- Experience supporting children who display challenging behaviour
- The ability to build rapport easily with children
- Experience working with secondary aged students
