SEND TA
A special needs school in Gateshead is looking for a Teaching Assistant to cover a maternity leave. The role will commence mid January 2021 and will be full time.
The children who attend this school have SEMH / Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties and can display challenging behaviour. The role requires someone who is experienced in supporting children of this nature and has a resilient character. Team Teach training is desired but not essential.
You must have experience across the primary range to apply for this role.
To be part of this team you will ideally need to have:
- A minimum of 6 months experience in a special needs school
- Experience supporting children who have SEMH / Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties and display challenging behaviour
- Team Teach Training
- Experience working with primary aged students
