Product Manager – Remote – Start-up

A hypergrowth financial data start-up is currently searching for an experienced Product Manager to lead an Engineering team of 8, as the company continues to grow quickly.

The company itself is a financial data business that enables its clients to amalgamate all its financial data sources into one unified data solution platform. This platform is the first data experience platform built specifically to bring all the real time financial market data, including, news, social media, web, market datasets, alerts and notifications, to the most effective channel for each of its clients.

This delivers exceptionally individually personalised financial market data experiences on one single platform, leading to rapid and enhanced decision making to be carried out on the financial markets.

Previous Product Management experience is essential, and passion is a must; the company are looking for someone to own the Product completely.

The Role:

• Review current product and define a core product in collaboration with internal team, clients and user data.
• Analyse proposed product requirements and product development plans
• Define and document user requirements and create user stories.
• Own the process of defining the product, agree on new feature releases and organise/plan sprints with development, UX and data teams.
• Take ownership of all new developments and features for clients, making sure they fit within the company product guidelines
• Help with a transition to a more formal Agile methodology, driving change in approach

• Experience as a Product Manager ideally within a SAAS data company (FinTech experience would be a bonus)
• Dev led approach – ideally experienced in helping a business develop a standardised set of products
• Experience in managing demanding external stakeholders
• Used to working in and helping to drive Agile methodology
• Working knowledge of Jira
• Good knowledge of the latest development trends, technologies, and approaches
• Experience gathering requirements and transforming them into user stories and technical design specifications
• A proactive individual who wants to get things done, follows through with tasks and enjoys implementing change
• You’ll engage in market, competitive, and user research to deeply understand customer’s needs and problems. Always represent the voice of the customer.
• You’ll contribute to the product roadmap by prioritising the main areas of focus for your products based on user and buyer value, business viability, and time to impact.
• You’ll ideate and collaborate closely with design, development, and data science to come up with and test innovative solutions to problems that work for our customers and our business.
• You’ll contribute to the product development lifecycle by gathering customer feedback, writing and prioritising user stories, and ensuring the customer’s needs are met through constant iteration.
