Location: Based anywhere around the region of Boston in Lincolnshire, Kings Lynn and Peterborough
- £50,000 - £70,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a £multi-million M&E capital projects delivery business with its history dating back over 50 years. This business has solid foundations and continues to go from strength to strength having increased their annual sales by a staggering £20m over the last three years.
Having recruited for the group for several years, I can truly say they are a great investor in their people, they provide excellent training and opportunities for progressions. As a result of recent growth and success, they are now looking to recruit an experienced M&E Commercial Manager to join the team and to play an instrumental part in the business achieving +£30m sales in the next 4 years.

The role of the M&E Commercial Manager will be as follows:
- The M&E Commercial Manager will be responsible for managing commercial governance on all contracts from presales, design, project construction and finance
- Ensuring all commercial contracts are in line with either NEC, JCT, ICE or MF/1 contracts
- Responsible for reviewing contracts price variations and the negotiation of final contracts
- A detailed review of contracts and terms of business – terms, penalties, financial payments, clauses and commercial project deliverables
- Managing variations on projects, capturing extra costs and maximising commercial opportunities
- Supporting the team on contractual negotiations – sales teams, project teams and leadership teams
- To lead all commercial contractual projects across the business and to lead the team by being an expert in this field
- Ensure commercial project reporting is robust
- Analyse variation trends, contract forecasting and to ensure commercial due diligence is being applied
- Effectively monitor, interpret, and challenge financial results and communication issues, risks, opportunities, and trends
- Conduct critical reviews of the performance of the contracts within the business, identifying trends, areas of underperformance and potential opportunities, including the managing of GP improvement plans
- Provide a performance outlook including competitor activity and market trends to the management team on a timely basis
To be successful for the M&E Commercial Managers role you will need:
- An experienced M&E Commercial Manager or Senior Surveyor
- You must have a demonstrable track record in commercial management within an M&E environment
- A suitable qualification, ideally degree qualified such as Contract Law or Surveying
- Hands-on, practical and willing to travel extensively
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills
- Full EU driving licence
