THE TERRITORY: Midlands
THE COMPANY:
The quality of their products and the outstanding level of the aftersales service have enabled this business to become the genuine market leader in their field – garage equipment. This Field Service role is hugely important to ensure their market position is maintained in the future.
THE ROLE OF A FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER:
As one of their key Field Service Engineers, your main responsibilities will be to provide service, maintenance and repair for an extensive range of garage equipment ranging from the smallest tools to Vehicle Lifts and Repair Stations. Each day will genuinely be different as you will find yourself working within workshops, garages and franchised dealerships.
Covering an area in East / West Midlands, you will be working closely with the internal team, organising your time and diary ensuring that you are working as efficiently as possible.
We’re interested in your transferable skills as you could find yourself carrying out a variety of roles from pre-planned preventative maintenance (PPM), general repairs, calibration, fault diagnosis and installation.
In return, you will be given comprehensive product training as part of your induction along with continued support to enable you flourish in the role and develop your long-term career within the business, not mentioning the excellent pay and benefits package available.
EXPERIENCE IDEALLY REQUIRED FOR A FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER:
To be a successful field service engineer, you are not expected to come from a garage equipment background (although this would be highly advantageous) however a related field such as Plant, Forklift and Industrial would also be considered. Essentially – a good working knowledge of electro-mechanical, hydraulic and three-phase electrical systems would be perfect.
Above all you need to be an independent ‘self-starter’ who is motivated to ‘get on and do it’. As with all field service roles this is an essential characteristic and means you will be successful in what is a very autonomous way of working.
