Job Description:
Initially working from home, and post "lockdown" working in the office in Coventry (CV3) supporting the Commercial Management and Estimating functions.
To succeed in this role, you will have
- Great IT skills, particularly Excel/Spreadsheet
- Excellent written English
- A high level of self-motivation and a can-do attitude
- Ability to use initiative
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Good decision making and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively unsupervised and as a member of a team
You will be applying these skills to:
- Providing cost build ups and cash flow forecasts to be input into estimates for work.
- Contact suppliers for pricing of works
- Compiling budgets in excel and using other software
- Assist with written content of tender proposals, ensuring "plain english".
- Supporting the procurement of sub-contractors
- Preparation of contract documents.
- Preparation of initial project budgets and thereafter maintaining them on a regular basis through the life cycle of the project.
- Preparation of valuations and final account documentation
- Preparation of cost/value reconciliations
- Manage sub-contractor valuations and associated payments
- Maintain labour cost schedules
