Commercial Support / Trainee Surveyor

Initially working from home, and post "lockdown" working in the office in Coventry (CV3) supporting the Commercial Management and Estimating functions.

To succeed in this role, you will have

• Great IT skills, particularly Excel/Spreadsheet
• Excellent written English
• A high level of self-motivation and a can-do attitude
• Ability to use initiative
• Flexibility and adaptability
• Good decision making and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively unsupervised and as a member of a team

You will be applying these skills to:

• Providing cost build ups and cash flow forecasts to be input into estimates for work.
• Contact suppliers for pricing of works
• Compiling budgets in excel and using other software
• Assist with written content of tender proposals, ensuring "plain english".
• Supporting the procurement of sub-contractors
• Preparation of contract documents.
• Preparation of initial project budgets and thereafter maintaining them on a regular basis through the life cycle of the project.
• Preparation of valuations and final account documentation
• Preparation of cost/value reconciliations
• Manage sub-contractor valuations and associated payments
• Maintain labour cost schedules
