Head of Construction and Maintenance Services needed in Salford paying £26.94 per hr PAYE Ref: 3ED1D

This is working full time hours on a temporary basis

Responsibilities:

• We want someone to lead our Highways Construction Services, service performance, capital and revenue budgets in line with the corporate objectives and values, in an environment of continuous improvement. Identify, Develop and implement innovative solutions for the services.
• You will need strong leadership, clear direction and support to the Construction services teams and instils an entrepreneurial spirit across Place to deliver on the City Mayor’s priorities for our City. Provides strong leadership and clear direction to the division to achieve transformational change and co-ordinate the effective delivery of services
• Inspire and provide senior management support to employees within the division, motivating and supporting them to attain the highest professional standards, skills, knowledge, attributes and competencies required to fulfil their duties.
• You will have responsibility for the delivery of overall highways and Infrastructure Capital and Revenue budgets, annually these are between £10- 15m. As well as the delivery of a Citywide Highways Asset management strategy for the Highways assets valued over £2bn. Ensuring that the services are delivered in line with the agreed policy and targets, maximising social value in the delivery of the service in Salford
• You will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of people using all modes of travel on our 8,000 km road network. Be responsible for the Health and safety, Quality and Environment of the operations.
