Michael Sharma Group Digital & Technology are proud to be supporting a market-leading gaming tech firm based in the Black Country.

We're looking for someone to povide pragmatic expert guidance to line managers and stakeholders using practical employee relations and employment law experience. In addition to this, you will be required to support the business and its leaders to develop, engage and retain talent, and to drive business changes and challenges.

 

Further duties include;

• Develop relationships with managers and leads within allocated business units, and build an in-depth knowledge of the function’s roles, responsibilities, structure and culture.
• Partner with key stakeholders to develop and deliver the people strategies for relevant business area that will support the delivery of the overall strategy.
• Act as the main point of contact for the HR team, utilising the wider team where required, to support managers with general HR matters.
• Manage ER issues by providing advice and training to managers, ensuring legislation is followed and liaising with legal advisors where necessary.
• Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
• Lead department restructures working with key stakeholders, as and when required.
• Build the change capability of key stakeholders and support the delivery of change programmes.
• Provide pragmatic advice to line managers on the implementation of all people policies. Input to the design of policies and policy roll out processes where appropriate.
• Develop contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.
• Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
• Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
• Share HR expertise and best practice with the wider HR department
• Participate in monthly payroll input
• Performs other related duties and projects

About you;

• CIPD Diploma or HRM qualification at equivalent level
• Significant experience within a HR generalist role
• Experience with implementing HR strategies and initiatives
• Considerable experience of supporting Line Managers with complex and/or high-risk employee relations cases
• Experience of developing Line Manager Capability using a range of tools and techniques depending on skills gap and/or audience.
• Demonstrable evidence of developing and sustaining positive effective working relationships at all levels up to and including Directors / Board Members.
• Up to date and current knowledge of Employment Law including an understanding of present and future employment legislation.
• Experience of effectively challenging and influencing at a senior level.
• Strong inter-personal skills, including written, verbal and non-verbal communication
• Emotionally intelligent
• Effective negotiation and strong influencing skills• Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision but also an effective team player
• Highly collaborative
• Commercially focused and financially aware
• Highly organised and able to manage a number of on-going assignments in a fast paced environment
• Ability to manage own time and workload and balance conflicting priorities
