My Hampshire based client is looking to appoint a Planning Officer on a 6 month contract, to start ASAP.

The job:

- Responsibility for dealing with a caseload of a range of planning applications and pre-application enquiries
- Previous experience of providing planning advice and dealing with small to medium scale planning applications required, including liaison with applicants and their agents
- Good interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills essential
- Ability to deliver high quality advice in a timely manner and efficiently manage a caseload of applications, together with good working knowledge of relevant legislation, planning policy and guidance essential

Workload will depend on experience to an extent, but cases will likely range from householders, through to small to mid-scale minors (3-5 unit developments).

This contract will run for 6 months and start ASAP, it will be home based, but safe, outdoor only site visits will need to be conducted, however these can be grouped together to have minimal impact on working arrangements.
