Education, Employment and Training advisor needed in london £20.54ph ref 0003 F05F / 1 start subject to enhanced dbs.

Full time hours on a temporary basis.

The Youth Employability and Skills (YES) Programme team deliver an innovative programme of employability and skills support to engage, inspire and equip young adults into education, employment or training. The YES team works in close collaboration with key partners to deliver planned experiences of the world of work and skills opportunities. The YES team also support young adults to retain their place of work or learning, and to secure longer-term meaningful employment outcomes, and access relevant support services.

The YES programme team offers support to the following young adults:
• aged 18-25 and an Islington resident who are not in education, employment, or training (NEET) and open to engagement with EET support. they must also have the right to live and work in the UK. The young adult would also need to be either a: Islington care leaver, and/or current or previous experience of the youth justice system or not currently working with any council or other employment support services, but identified as vulnerable and at risk of becoming longer-term unemployed by voluntary/ community sector services.

The role of Education, Employment and Training Adviser will be working specifically with a cohort of Care Leavers to support them in to suitable education, employment or training opportunities including world of work placements and engaging skills opportunities offered by our Adult and Community Learning Team or from a range of our other skills delivery partners. Candidates with a background in information, advice and guidance (IAG)/ NEET to EET casework, or supporting Care Leavers through a mentoring/ coaching approach would be particularly suited to this role. Candidates are required to demonstrate their suitability/ experience of being able to positively engage with 18-25 year old young adults experiencing multiple barriers to employment, education or training.
