The client

My client is an FMCG company based in West Yorkshire. They have multiple sites and have a turnover of around £50 million. They have a custom built factory along with state of the machinery which has helped them become market leaders within their field. Due to continued expansion they now have an exciting opportunity for multi skilled maintenance engineer to join their team.

The role

As a multi skilled maintenance engineer you will be performing planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of automated machinery. You will be fault finding on both mechanical and electrical components. There will be PLC work so experience of this is preferred but not essential. You will be working as part of a maintenance team but there will be times you will be expected to carry out duties alone. This is a fast moving production environment so you will be performing a lot of reactive maintenance so a flexible approach and good decision making is required.

The candidate

To be considered for the role of multi skilled maintenance engineer then you must be apprentice trained with an NVQ level 3 qualification as a minimum. You must have a good level of multi skills and be comfortable performing both tasks. A good track record is required a long with a flexible approach and a willingness to learn new skills.

• Apprentice trained – NVQ level 3
• HNC/HND Preferred
• Good level of multi skills
• FMCG experience
• Good communication skills
