Here is an overview of your main responsibilities:

• Design and create fit for purpose and cost-effective fibre optic to include topology layout, fibre splice plans, cable duct and routing, and where applicable, utilising Openreach PIA
• Experience working with Fibre Optics products including fibre prep and splice
• Working at heights and in the underground network
• Working to client and company Quality, Safety & Health processes and procedures
• Production of construction & cabling work packages for internal or external teams
• To drive consistency, quality, suitability and cost-effectiveness
• Ensure that all works comply with guidelines and relevant codes of practice
• Work closely with relevant stakeholders, internal, external, local authorities to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the infrastructure and react to any change

To be successful in this role it is essential you have experience in:

• Ability to understand and produce detailed industry-standard level of installation documentation
• Understanding of chamber and duct construction
• Fusion splicing
• Experience with Blown Fibre Installation
• Live network splicing and testing
• Experience of working with Openreach, ideally including PIA
• Detailed understanding of UK local and national authority regulations in respect to civil engineering works
• Detailed understanding and working experience of Wayleave
• Understanding of FTTP and FTTC methodologies
• Knowledge of NRSWA, CDM, Code Powers and SafeDig
• Experience of achieving critical deadlines
• Ability to identify engineering risks and associated solutions
