Here is an overview of your main responsibilities:

• Design and create fit for purpose and cost-effective fibre optic, and where applicable, utilising Openreach PIA
• Creation of bill of materials associated with the network build work packages
• To forecast CAPEX and OPEX requirements of designed infrastructure projects
• Reactive desktop designs and feasibilities for new opportunities
• To drive consistency, quality, suitability and cost-effectiveness with every design and build
• Manage contractors within the build process
• Ensure that all works comply with guidelines and relevant codes of practice
• Acting as, or working with, the Project Manager to deliver project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs.
• Work closely with relevant stakeholders, internal, external, local authorities to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the infrastructure and react to any change.

To be successful in this role it is essential you have experience in:

• Ability to understand and produce detailed industry-standard level of survey, installation and as-built documentation
• Experience of working with Openreach, ideally including PIA
• Detailed understanding of all aspects of civils route planning
• Detailed understanding of all aspects of fibre planning
• Detailed understanding of UK local and national authority regulations in respect to civil engineering works
• Detailed understanding and working experience of Wayleave
• Understanding of FTTP and FTTH methodologies and design
• Site survey experience
• Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a team without line management responsibility
• Knowledge of NRSWA
• Experience of achieving critical deadlines
• Experience of supporting tender bids
• Ability to identify engineering risks and associated solutions
