Logistics & Transport Controller

Stevenage

£12-13 per hour

Initial 3 month assignment to 30/05/21 with potential for long term or permanent employment

The role:

- Manage the routing of multiple drivers for plant and tooling deliveries and collections

- Coordinating with other team members, ensuring all operational targets are met.

- Processing on and off hire documentation for plant and fleet

- Run reports to ensure plant and materials are where the need to be, when they need to be there

- Check failed deliveries and collections and re-book where appropriate

- Plan driver routes to ensure efficiency

- Manage driver timesheet submissions

- Coordinate safety briefings

- Ensure vehicle and plant checks are carried out in accordance with health and safety

You will have:

- Excellent knowledge and experience of working in the Logistics sector

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Excellent IT skills, particularly spreadsheets, databases and email

- Excellent understanding of Driving Hours and Tachograph legislation

- It will be a significant advantage if you are familiar with the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme
