Job Title: Quality Manager – (Apprenticeships)
 
Location: Home based / East Midlands - travel expected when Covid-19 restrictions are eased

Salary: £35,000 - £37,000

Duties include:

  • Work closely with the Delivery team, to manage, review and improve quality processes, for the delivery of work-based learning, ensuring excellent quality is maintained throughout the business.
  • Lead on all quality inspections from external agencies (Ofsted / Awarding Bodies etc.), and ensure that all staff involved are prepared.
  • Responsible for ensuring that staff adhere to their KPI's, as well as internal and quality assurance standards.
  • Conduct quality observations and internal audits to ensure consistency and compliance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that all programmes meet regulatory standards, by developing and updating the curriculum and delivery plans.
  • Work closely with your own caseload of learners, to plan and deliver high quality training programmes across the Engineering vocation. 
  • Recruitment of new learners on to the programmes, by using a range of business development tools and strategies.
  • To make sure self-assessment reports are completed efficiently, and improvements are implemented by all staff.
  • Monitor the ‘learner journey’ process, ensuring that best practice is followed by all staff.
  • Monitor the use of data throughout the business, making sure data is reliable, and processed lawfully and effectively.

Essential Criteria:

  • Must hold a recognised Internal Quality Assurance award (D34, V1, IQA, TAQA L4).
  • Must hold a Level 5 qualification in Engineering.
  • Experience of teaching Engineering to learners aged 16+, including Apprenticeships.
  • Must hold sound knowledge of ESFA funding rules and Ofsted CIF.
  • Experience of securing new business within WBL.
  • Previous experience within a supervisory role in WBL.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.
  • Must be flexible with travel.
