Housing Programme Officer needed in Northwich, Cheshire paying £18 per hr PAYE Ref:5132832

This is working full time hours on a temporary basis

Responsibilities:

The post holder’s key responsibility is to manage delivery of the Housing Capital Programme through:

• The provision of disabled facilities grants for a wide range of home adaptations to enable disabled residents to achieve independent living.

• Helping to deal with private properties identified as failing the legal standard for housing under the Housing Act 2004 through the provision of grants and loans for home improvements under the  Home Assistance Policy.

• Facilitating ‘Extra Care’ housing schemes for older people.

• Funding an empty homes and conversion programme,

• Funding energy efficiency projects. 

• Supporting the delivery of new affordable homes.

• Providing an evidence base of the housing and accommodation needs of the Borough.

• Preventing and responding to homelessness.

• The energy efficiency improvement programme for existing stock aims to increase the Boroughs SAP rating, reducing carbon emissions and saving residents money.

• Providing a positive impact on the visual environment in neighbourhoods through the improvement of housing conditions, bringing back empty properties into use and conversion of obsolete commercial premises to provide living accommodation.
