Data Protection Specialist required for a 12 month contract based in North Hampshire (remote working at present)

Working inside of IR35 for a high profile Financial Services organization, you will manage the compliance with all relevant internal and external data privacy requirements embodied in Data Protection Act 2018 and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) ; Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) (as amended); Binding Corporate Rules BCR and any other national statutory instruments, regulations and codes of practice applying to the protection of personal data.

Key responsibilities:

* Oversight and steering of information protection and data protection requirements required by the businesses and monitoring of data protection compliant delivery by IT

* Manages and oversees data protection risks, data protection policies and procedures, training, communication and company awareness.

* Supports the data protection breaches, risks and issues.

* Responsible for the efficacy of notifications to the regulator (ICO), privacy notices, data subject rights, privacy impact assessments, privacy audits and subject access requests ensuring that they are responded to within the timescales

* Acts as the Information Protection Delegate

* Provides appropriate MI to the relevant in order for the senior management to make the right decisions.

* Ensures that data protection risks are adequately recorded and mitigated in the operational risk management system (ORIoN).

* Implements Privacy By Design requirements and appropriate technical and organisational measures into all processes and systems.

* Responsible for giving the company's DPPR sufficient comfort and information to discharge his / her duties

This role is to start ASAP and will pay between £150.00 to £187.50 per day Umbrella (inside of IR35) depending on your level of experience.
