Role: Field Service Engineer

Salary: £32,000 (Rising) + Car + OT 

Location: Home Based and covering the Yorkshire region (50 Mile Radius)

My client is a Global Supplier in the sales and service of specialist printing and labelling technology supplying in to the FMCG, Food and General Engineering markets. The company are highly regarded in their industry and have built strong client relationships which has increased continuous business growth. They have not made any of their staff furloughed in 2020 and have over 70 staff in the business, this has given their employees peace of mind of job security during these uncertain times.

The Role

The Field Service Engineer will be home based and responsible for meeting the daily service maintenance and repair needs of the customer’s equipment. Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers as well as performing necessary administrative duties as required and other duties as assigned.

Other responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer:

-        Attending emergency breakdowns and installation of new products

-        The role is electrical bias and will be working on 230v systems, e.g. wiring, change and replacing components, isolating mains

-        Mechanically you will be expected to fault find with basic fabricating, you will be working on changing of belts, drilling holes, stripping down and rebuilding of equipment’s

-        Installing and re-wiring products to existing production lines

-        Setting up IP addresses and networking

Ideal Field Service Engineer:

To be successful in this role you must be a time served apprentice or equivalent, supported with academic qualifications ideally to HNC or minimum ONC equivalent in a relevant technical area. To be considered for this role you must have:

-        A valid driving license

-        The ability to work in a team but also alone, be resilient, self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and possess the required technical competence

-        Able and willing to diversify into specialised areas of maintenance, as required

-        Flexible - you can be away from 1 to 2 nights a week and during training periods you could be away for a longer period

-        Industry Experience (preferable)

-        IT proficient
