Our client is a well-established consultancy who are leading the way in the UK with R & D, analysis and technical consulting into the defence and rail sectors.  Their expertise costs modelling, cost analysis, procurement and research & development for projects that are classified and highly technical.

 

They have a very exciting opportunity for a graduate with 1-2 years work experience from a relevant environment, such as defence, government, technical consulting, engineering or analytics to join their dynamic team in Wiltshire and develop your career and capabilities.

From your very 1st day, you will be helping the organisations across many different disciplines to solve problems and answer questions on high profile projects.

 

You will receive ‘on-the-job’ training, support and coaching to problem solve in a multitude of ways: understanding the scope of research technology, estimating costs of complex systems, developing analysis tools and techniques and providing advice and support to our customers.

 

The staff within our client’s company has a range of technical backgrounds, including mathematics, systems engineering, software engineering, naval architecture, physics, mechanical and production engineering, so you can learn so much.

 

The ideal candidate will have a good degree in one of the areas mentioned; Mathematics, Systems, Software, Physics or Mechanical Engineering.

 

You will need to have a “can do” attitude, be personable, flexible and able to collaborate effectively with others, great communication skills are what makes a great Consultant!

 

You will thrive on challenges, be driven by results and enjoy working within a team environment.

 The ideal person will have experience of writing technical reports.

Be comfortable and confident in presenting to customers or senior management.

Expert user of MS Excel, familiarity and confidence in using spreadsheets.

Conversant with MS Word and PowerPoint.

Working in a technical industry area.

Able to undertake data identification, collection and normalisation.

Able to present and communicate analytical information including data visualisation.

Able to generate either cost estimates, scopes or impacts for new equipment’s or systems.

A background in Defence, research, logistics, maritime or manufacturing.

An interest in Defence.

 

Our client is offering in return a salary between £28k - £35k (DOE) on the job training and a bright future career.
