Job Description:

Our client is looking for an experienced Data Quality Officer – Adult Social Care to work on a temporary contract role to start on the 02-10-17 until the 04-12-17 with a likely extension to the contract.

Hours:  9:00 am to 5:15 pm

 This role requires knowledge and experience of adult social care case management system, preferably Mosaic.


The Project

The client's Adult Social Care migrated from Care First to the Mosaic case management system in July 2016.  Following implementation, a number of issues have emerged which are having an impact on data quality. 


We are initiating an Improving Data Quality Project in adult social care.  This post will provide the capacity to retrospectively ‘clean’ known data errors and data errors highlighted during the project phase.  This role will work as part of a small project team including a business analyst and Mosaic trainer.



We are seeking a highly methodical person, ideally with knowledge and experience of working in an adult social care environment.  Experience in data entry, making data quality changes, resolving errors and cleaning data records on the Mosaic adult social care case management system is required as well as the following.  If you have these skills and attributes as well as the ability to ‘hit the ground’ running and make an immediate impact we would be pleased to hear from you:

  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to deal with large volumes of data inputting in an accurate and timely way
  • A high level of numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret large volumes of data
  • A well organised approach to managing work load and working at pace
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to build working relationships quickly and work as a member of project team to achieve shared objectives
  • Maintaining safe and confidential access to data in accordance with the council’s information governance requirements and procedures

Technical Competencies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Knowledge and experience of Mosaic adult social care system

Key Deliverables

  • To amend incorrect or missing data on the Mosaic system with reference to data quality reports and identified data error priorities
  • To remove duplicate data and resolve inaccurate case management data
  • Maintain a record of ‘lessons learnt’ and recommendations for improving data quality
  • Run reports on a regular basis to carry out quality checks and to identify and highlight errors
  • Disseminate reports to services
