Quality Manager – Steel Forgings/Aerospace


Salary £45,000 - £55,000 + Benefits


A newly created role due to consistent business growth. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager to join one of the UK’s leading high-grade steel suppliers to the aerospace industry at their site in Sheffield.



The Quality Manager role is a newly created due to business growth and focuses on managing all aspects of quality including:

  • The quality management systems and accreditations (ISO9001 & AS9100)
  • Managing and improving quality assurance processes
  • Managing quality control and inspection processes.
  • The role will also play a key part in managing and develop the customer relationships
  • Investigating non-conformances (NCR’s) using recognised root cause analysis techniques such as 8D, 5Y, 7 step or Ishikawa processes
  • Implementing corrective actions and preventative actions (CAPA)
  • You will be responsible for leading the transition from AS9100 rev C to rev D.


The role is a standalone role but you will have the support of the wider business on key quality issues such as the transition onto AS9100 rev D.



You will be an experienced Quality Manager who will enjoy taking responsibility and ownership of Quality issues. As this business manufactures speciality, high-grade steel products for the aerospace industry only candidates with a steel industry and aerospace background will be considered.
