Telesales / Telemarketing Executive – IT Software & Hardware.  This well-established international systems company seeks an experienced telesales / telemarketing representative to join their busy sales team. This is a great opportunity to join a professional, structured and fast-paced environment where you can develop your sales skills and grow with an expanding multinational division.

More detail below, but the sales environment is a ‘warm’ environment, as opposed to a ‘cold calling’ role. With extensive marketing campaigns, together with internal leads, there are more than enough leads to work on and the chance to earn a good, uncapped commission.

Telemarketing Executive – the Role: 

This busy and varied sales role will see you responsible for the sales of a range of products: support & maintenance contracts (covering hardware and software systems sold to the client-base), extended warranty contracts and other services such as: online back-up, broadband, messaging systems, credit card processing capabilities.

The sales environment is ‘warm’ – i.e. a combination of reactive (60%: taking and processing orders, cross-selling and up-selling where required) and proactive work (40%: mostly selling to existing clients or x-clients).  There will be some general sales administration work (e.g. supporting Account Managers and Corporate Business staff) although the firm does employ dedicated sales administration staff for the bulk of these duties.

The position will see you liaising with other departments and suppliers to ensure the smooth installation of services.

This is a 9-month fixed-term maternity cover contract that may possibly extend/go permanent.

Telemarketing Executive – the Person: 

Candidates must have worked in a similar internal sales role (possibly customer services, for the right person) combining reactive and proactive sales work with strong general customer services skills and a good eye for detail re. sales administration.  Candidate must also have:

  • An excellent telephone manner
  • A strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • The ability to forge solid working relationships

Desirable skills: Experience of computer software and hardware sales; SAP.

All-in-all this is a fantastic opportunity to join a stimulating and fast-paced environment where you can employ and develop your skills.  Salary to £23k-£25k pro-rata (is a 9 month maternity cover contract until 31st Dec 2021), with OTE of c.£38k (uncapped commission!), plus benefits.
