Job Description:

The core focus of the role will be to assist and/or manage a range of environmental, land and permitting activities throughout the project development lifecycle from project inception, through to financial close and start of construction, including:

  • Initial site screening, constraints analysis and site feasibility assessments;
  • Manage EIA process and related permitting processes;
  • Ensure legal compliance with environmental and related legislation;
  • Secure all land & environmental authorisations, consents and approvals required to develop and construct renewable energy facilities and associated grid connection infrastructure;
  • Manage environmental and land aspects of due diligence and financial close processes;
  • Manage land owner relationships;
  • Manage engagements with key stakeholders;
  • Interface with the technical and business development teams throughout the project development process;
  • In time, take full accountability for the environmental and land workstream in the project development lifecycle.



An important secondary focus of the role will be to assist in and/or drive logistics and negotiations with property owners for land rights (lease agreements, servitudes etc.) to develop renewable energy facilities and grid connection infrastructure.

There is scope for growth in this role, with the ability to take on additional responsibilities in the technical, commercial, legal and business development workstreams, with a view to growing into a well-rounded project development manager (depending on the candidate's interests and aptitudes).
