The core focus of the role will be to assist and/or manage a range of technical workstream that feed into the development process: land and permitting activities as well as tender response preparation and EPC and O&M procurement processes. This will be throughout the project development lifecycle; from project inception, through to financial close and start of construction. You will:

• Work closely with the team principals and technical, land and environmental specialists and
• Will be or grow to be responsible for all interactions with consulting engineers
• Key functions will be to:
  • Inform assessments into technical feasibility of new wind and solar sites in respect of resource, energy yield and grid connection strategy and capacities.
  • Assist in developing preliminary layouts and project phasing as well as grid interconnection plans to feed into the development process.
  • Be involved in technical matters, planning and layout adjustments as they relate to environmental and permitting requirements.
  • Manage the development and completion of resource and yield reports in close collaboration with rest of the team, ideally building capacity to carry out aspects of same in house.
  • Provide technical input to EPC and O&M procurement processes and adjudication.
  • Manage all new wind measurement mast installations.
  • Run data and recording quality checks for all wind measurement masts and Lidar units and manage all care and maintenance with mast and Lidar contractors and data service providers.

An important secondary focus of the role will be to assist in and/or drive logistics and negotiations with property owners for land rights (lease agreements, servitudes etc.) to develop renewable energy facilities and grid connection infrastructure.

There is scope for growth in this role, with the ability to take on additional responsibilities in the technical, commercial, legal and business development workstreams, with a view to growing into a well-rounded project development manager (depending on the candidate's interests and aptitudes).
