The job

We are looking for an IT Project Manager for the insurance & investments department of an international bank in Lisbon, Portugal. This person will be part of the Systems Management team within the department, with the following responsibilities

  • Maintaining the relationship model with the bank for maintenance and development of shared systems.
  • Managing the maintenance and development of the systems that support the activity of the insurance & investments department.
  • Manage the implementation and maintenance of applications in the financial areas (investments and risk).

Main activities:

  • Manage the implementation and development of the systems that support the activity of the insurance & investments department within the bank.
  • Implementation project management:
    • Support the definition of scope, activities, risk and budget, with an end to end vision.
    • Coordinate the participation of the main stakeholders, as well as the activities, monitoring the status and evolution of projects.
    • Post implementation follow-up of projects.
  • Based on business requirements, define functional specifications in collaboration with the specialized areas.
  • Contribute to the definition of solutions to be implemented.
  • Support testing, both the definition and the validation.
  • RFP, definition of requirements, implementation, tests and evolutionary maintenance.

Requirements

  • Degree / Master in Computer Engineering or similar.
  • Knowledge on insurance and pension plans (conceptual, fiscal and legal), financial markets and financial assets (solvency II).
  • Knowledge on computer development tools.
  • English fluent, Spanish would be a plus.
  • Minimum experience of 3 to 5 years in Project Management.
  • Previous experience in systems analysis, requirements definition, control of implementation projects, etc.
  • Ability to work in teams and integrate multidisciplinary projects, maintaining good working relationships with different areas and teams within the bank.
  • Creativity, proactivity, critical thinking, autonomy and negotiation skills.
  • Ensure the execution of tasks in accordance with the defined priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to learn.
  • Analysis, systematization of ideas and organization skills.
  • Good communication skills.
