SEN Teacher – South London – ASAP Start!

£160 - 200 p/day

Long term/Full Time

A ‘Good’ SEN School in Lewisham are looking for a SEN Teacher to support their team from the Spring Term. Pupils here have needs associated with Autism including Complex Learning, Social and Communication difficulties. They have access to Specialist Therapists, Modern Technology and a Newly Refurbished School Building. Creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment and delivering a differentiated curriculum across a variety of subjects. Working closely with 3 Support Staff in your class, who are already very familiar with the pupils and their needs.

To make a positive impact here:

  • You will ideally be a confident SEN Teacher who has experience in supporting Autism, Global Delay, Complex Learning Difficulties, Social and Communications Difficulties. Teachers with SEN experience with other needs are also warmly welcomed to apply.
  • You will preferably have a background teaching a KS1/KS2 Class but we will still consider Teachers with experience in other Key Stages.
  • You will be experienced in delivering an inclusive, differentiated curriculum to encourage child development.
  • Collaborating with Support Staff to create a safe and comfortable learning environment

Person Specification - SEN Teacher

  • Experience supporting pupils by delivering differentiated curriculum
  • Must hold UK QTS and have experience developing a SEN Class
  • Experience managing team of support staff.  
  • Scope for extension or to go permanent
