Job Description:

My client, a leading software house and Microsoft Gold Partner require an experienced Support Engineer to join a busy, fast-paced but friendly environment.  The successful Support Engineer will require strong customer facing skills and strong commercial experience supporting Windows based business-as-usual infrastructure.  The Support Engineer will be tasked with the following:

  • Provide a reactive and proactive service for managed clients and internal users
  • 1st line for desktop, server and hardware
  • 2nd line support for managed clients
  • 3rd line escalation when necessary
  • Communicate effectively with users and work with external providers and 3rd party vendors
  • Involvement in migration projects, service builds and deployments

The successful Support Engineer will have experience supporting the following technology:

  • Windows 7 / 8 / 10 Desktop OS
  • Visual Studio
  • Windows 2008 - 2016 Servers
  • Office 365
  • Sharepoint (2013)
  • SQL Server 2008 R2 -2017
  • Virtualisation Technology (HyperV and VMware)
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Skype for Business server
