Housing Support Officer


Job Description:

Housing Support Officer needed Gosport paying £12.18 per hr PAYE Ref: 5166207

This is working full time hours on a temporary basis


  • Ability to effectively plan and organise work, assess priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and maintain appropriate professional boundaries
  • The ability to work flexible in responding to varying demands of the role in order to achieve positive outcomes
  • The ability to work on your own initiative without close supervision and as part of a team
  • They will undertake administrative tasks ensuring that the team is adequately supported
  • Manage phone calls and correspondence (email, letters, forms etc.)
  • Create and update records and data bases with personal and other data
  • Assist colleagues whenever necessary
  • Have proven experience of providing support to a busy homelessness and housing advice team
  • Customer service experience – experience of dealing with people in  difficult situations
  • Knowledge of allocation and homelessness legislation
  • Has an awareness of why people become homeless
  • IT related knowledge and skills – Microsoft Office products and if possible experience of Locata and Capita
