Java Developer x6

These are long term (initially 6 month) contracts to work via a Consultancy, onsite with a large International Bank in their Glasgow office.

The contracts are paying c£350pd and will fall Inside IR35.

Whilst they are currently remote, there will be a requirement to work onsite in the future so you must be prepared to work in Glasgow longer term on a regular basis.

These are new positions as part of a new Agile squad that has been briefed with the remit of driving efficiency in the business - working on a highly impactful efficiency program as well as helping to build out the next generation of their current workflow platform.

Solid commercial experience in Java8 is required, with an understanding of Spring Boot and micro services a distinct preference. A good grasp of API design would also really help. If you have any full stack capability or interest this would also be welcomed (Angular, Javascript / Typescript).

We are looking for inquisitive, passionate Developers who keep up to date with the latest developments and are always on the lookout for the next library or tool to boost productivity.

Writing well-structured ,well tested code is a particular focus, within an Agile environment. If appreciate TDD, Cloud Native design and automated deployments then you’ll fit in very well. .
