Job Description:

Job title: Business Development Manager

Location: London

Salary: 30-40K plus uncapped commission. OTE 60K

Our client is currently recruiting for a BDM who has a minimum 2 years’ experience in the telecoms industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify new sales opportunities through outbound calling, online meetings and emails business clients
  • Pro-active in arranging visits and attending client meetings either F2F, virtually or over the telephone
  • Managing the renewal process when appropriate
  • Account manages your business customer base, keeping up to date with market and business trends including competitor activities, understanding developments for the client and identifying new and emerging business opportunities
  • Understand business customers needs and requirements
  • Close sales and achieve monthly KPIs
  • Pipeline Management and forecasting
  • Research accounts, identify decision makers and generate interest across BT solution portfolio
  • Capturing customer data and landscaping in our CRM platform Salesforce
  • Understand products and services portfolio
  • To meet/exceed all KPI requirement
  • Developing and maintaining customer relationships
  • Maintain required internal product Portfolio and Sales accreditation relevant for role


  • Proven face to face sales experience in the telecoms industry - taking the sale through to closure.
  • Track record selling hosted Voice and Data networks
  • Clear, personable, and professional telephone manner
  • Experience working with or similar CRM
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively
  • Self-motivated
  • Exceptional time keeping and attendance
  • High standard of customer service

Essential Experience:

  • Telecommunication: 2 years (Required)
  • IP and Data network sales: 2 years (Required)
  • B2B Sales 2 years (Required)

To be considered for this role you MUST have experience in the telecommunications industry.
