Profectus are very pleased to be working with this forward-thinking client based in London who require an expereinced Back-End Python Engineer.

They are searching for a skilled backend engineer who has experience in leading and delivering multiple software development projects, ideally in a start-up environment. They would like to find a driven, creative and intelligently curious individual looking to work with an exciting and innovative company.

Their initial focus is on productising their carbon offset offering. Their ratings are applied to offset projects in order to assess the quality of credits being issued. They then use these ratings and broader risk-analytics to construct optimised or bespoke offset portfolios for their clients.

They have an agreement with a third party that is developing a fully operational web-based database and an API for external application of ratings to projects. Working on delivering this and other projects will be a core aspect of the role, along with managing the technical aspects of the relationship with their partners.

Skill Requirements;

• Python and Django
• MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server
• Develop APIs - HTTP or RESTAPIs, Django REST 
• AWS and Terraform
• Working knowledge of Git, Circle CI and Jenkins
• Trello/Atlassian
• Some JavaScript knowledge
