Job Description:

Ashberry Recruitment are looking for a Team Leader for their North Yorkshire based client.

A processing dairy are looking to recruit a Team Leader for their site in Skipton. The business currently produces & distributes milk, along with other associated dairy products, throughout Yorkshire and the surrounding area.

 

The Job;

The role is permanent & is a key link within the dairy operation, reporting directly to the Assistant Dairy Manager. The successful applicant must be a conscientious, competent individual who expects high standards from both themselves & staff under their control. The position has a number of responsibilities within the remit which includes:

 

  • To undertake and adhere to all Health & Safety procedures.
  • To undertake & adhere to all hygiene rules.
  • To undertake and adhere to all work instructions and procedures
  • Maintain high levels of hygiene and adopt a clean as you go attitude.
  • Report accidents & near misses to Management.
  • Document data as requested by Management.
  • Wear protective clothing/overalls, safety footwear and any other safety equipment as required.
  • You must ensure you have the relevant training to undertake all your duties or tasks if not inform your Manager

 

Instruct & oversee small groups of Dairy Operators in the following areas:

 

  • Positive release of finished product.
  • Filling and packing of finished product, including quality control checks and C.I.P.
  • Ensure correct stock rotation.
  • Making up of orders from loading list/delivery notes.
  • Loading and unloading of wagons.
  • Check and sign off loaded wagons & individual orders.
  • Washing of walls, floors, forecourts and loading bays.
  • Cleaning duties incl. canteen, cloakroom and toilet.
  • Laundry of workwear.

 

 

This is a hands on role & the successful applicant will need to be physically fit as it may involve loading/checking vehicles when necessary. 

This is a full time position based around a 5 out of 6 day week which will include a Saturday. [Saturday is on 3 in 4 rotation]. Bank holidays will be included in the working week. The rate of pay is £10.74 per hour. A company pension scheme is in place.
