An Inclusive SEN School in Croydon are looking for a Learning Support Assistant/ SEN Teaching Assistant to join their diverse team. Pupils here all work to an EHCP to accommodate needs such as, Hearing and Visual impairments, challenging social behaviours and communication difficulties. You will be working closely with the Secondary Cohort but as they are working slightly below expectations, if you have experience with Primary aged pupils you are welcome to apply! Working closely with a dedicated Class teacher to create a safe and nurturing learning environment. Your main responsibilities will be focussed on in-class support to promote engagement as well leading targeted interventions to pupils who require specific support.
We are looking for a understanding Learning Support Assistant/ SEN Teaching Assistant who:
- Has experience supporting Multi-Sensory Impairment (MSI) including hearing and visual difficulties. As well as Communication difficulties (SLCN)
- Comfortable providing physical mobility support
- Holds a valid DBS/Police Check
